About the Artist
Lori McAdams is an artist in Belmont, North Carolina. She has a BFA from Parsons School of Design, and a masters (MA) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
She creates her art in watercolor, scratchboard, and graphite. She has also worked in oil, colored pencil, and intaglio. Her main sources of inspiration are myth, folklore, fantasy, speculative fiction, and the beauty of the Belmont, Salisbury, and Charlotte region.
Her recent illustration works (since 2000) have included book covers targeted for young adults, fantasy, and sales motivation, and one children's book.
Lori’s art has been exhibited by the Charlotte Art League, the Kings Mountain Art Center in Kings Mountain, NC, the Carolina Artists in Salisbury, NC, and the Jeanne Rauch Gallery at Gaston College in Dallas, NC.
Lori and her husband David Turner live in Belmont, North Carolina with their six feline children.
